2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible Revealed

2013 BMW M6 Coupe

BMW has taken the wraps off the brand new BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible that are going to be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show next months as well. Compared to the standard 6 series, the M6 is way more aggressive thanks to the M package with new front and rear bumpers, side sills and a new rear diffuser as well.

The 2013 BMW M6 also comes with 19″ or 20″ wheels, a quad tailpipe exhaust system, a redesigned grille, a sports suspension, LED headlights, a high performance braking system with M carbon ceramic brakes available as an option and the M Servotronic power steering as well.

Under the hood, both version of the new M6 will be powered by the same engine as the one from the new M5, a massive 4.4L V8 that’s able to produce 560 HP and 680 Nm of torque. All this power is sent to the car’s rear wheels through a seven speed M Double Clutch transmission and an Active M Differential.

The BMW M6 is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds (4.3 for the convertible) and it could reach 200 km/h from standstill in 12.6 seconds or 13.1 for the Convertible. Both models have a top speed limited at 250 km/h (155 mph) but this could go up to 305 km/h (189 mph) for the M6 that comes with the M Driver’s package.
